LWL Studios is more than a gym — it’s a place to deepen your education as you work on bettering yourself every day.

Each month, we host an in-person learning opportunity over a diverse range of topics, including lifting technique, nutrition, mobility, creating healthy habits, improving your sleep, and so much more.

You do not need to be a member of LWL Studios or be working with an LWL coach to attend our events. You can sign up for as many as you’d like…and tell a friend about it, too!

Leak-Free Lifting: Pelvic Floor Foundations for Weightlifters

Join Ladies Who Lift Studios and The Pelvic Institute for a hands-on workshop designed specifically for women who lift.

The Pelvic Institute Physical Therapy and Performance is a specialized physical therapy practice serving the Chicago community since 2023. Pelvic floor therapy aids in rehabilitating pain, bowel and bladder dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, postpartum/prenatal weakness, and more. At TPI, we believe getting patients in the gym to practice pressure management under load is an essential part of treatment, either to help with an existing symptom or to optimize lifting performance/work on new goals.

This workshop is for you if you…

  • don’t understand what it means to “brace your core” or how to do it
  • ever leak a little during lifts, jumps, running, or sneezing and thought “that’s just part of it”

  • have had a baby (recently or years ago) and aren’t sure what your pelvic floor is actually doing these days

  • feel pressure, heaviness, or discomfort during certain movements (especially squats, deadlifts, or core work)
  • have been diagnosed with prolapse, diastasis recti, or pelvic floor dysfunction and want guidance on how to train safely and confidently

As with all our offerings, LWL events and workshops are meant to serve and support individuals who are female-identifying and non-binary.

 

We offer a seven-day after-purchase refund policy. There will be no refund given after the seven-day grace period.

If you cancel within the seven-day period, we will only refund the ticket price if your spot is filled before the event.
