Why the Basic Open Gym Membership at LWL Studios is awesome:
We only offer a limited number of memberships —no overcrowded gym where you have no personal space or have to wait forever for the equipment
We’re a women’s inclusive gym, serving and supporting those who are female-identifying and non-binary — you can feel safe and be yourself
You do not need to be working with an LWL coach in any capacity to be a member at LWL Studios — though we’d love the opportunity to coach you if you ever want (and we will not pressure you to sign on for more services. Ick.

Saturday: 10:45am-6pm

Two reasons. First, we decided to cap the number of members because we want everyone to have enough space to work out and have access to the equipment. We’ve all worked out in crowded gyms before and that’s not the vibe for LWL Studios.
Second, open gym hours are held outside of the times when we’re holding small group training classes. Again, we want the gym to feel as comfortable as possible for everyone inside, so we reserve the space when classes are taking place. Open gym hours are 9:30 am – 6 pm, 7 days a week.
Yes. You may request a membership to LWL Studios even if you’re not working with us in any other capacity like 1:1 personal training, small group training, or utilizing any of our online coaching options. Please note that we only offer a limited number of memberships to ensure adequate space and access to equipment.
Yes! You can purchase a membership through the Momence app.
We do not. We keep our membership numbers limited to ensure that everyone has adequate space to move around and access the equipment. To this end, we do not currently allow drop-ins during open gym hours.
Yes. If you want access to the gym outside of your normal 1:1 or small group training sessions, you’ll need to also purchase a membership to LWL Studios.
Not always. Our coaches are only guaranteed to be present during their own personal training hours.
Yes! If you need to cancel, you can access your account portal by logging into the Momence app.
Please keep in mind that you need to cancel 30 days before your next billing date, otherwise you will be charged one more time for the upcoming month.
For example, if your billing date is on the 25th each month and you cancel on the 23rd, you’ll be billed one more time.
We are located at 4747 N Ashland Ave. in Chicago. There is street parking available on Ashland and Lawrence.
